Our Toddlers and Twos program consists of 2 classes. We have an 18 month – 2 ½ year old class and a
2 ½ year to 3 year old class. As in the infants class, move-up ages may vary by several months based on each child’s comfort level and development. In both Toddler classes, children are given ample time to explore and engage with their environment in order to develop language, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Their imagination is sparked by various open ended toys and materials such as scarves, natural tree blocks, home living tools, babies and puppets . Teachers read stories,sing songs and fingerplays throughout the day to boost creativity, teach basic skills and and nurture the love of learning! Our Toddlers are also given the chance to channel their creativity in various art projects.
When children show signs of potty training readiness and developmental maturity, they are ready to move up to our older twos class. In this class, more time is spent in group activities to prepare them for preschool and children are gradually taught to have more independence.
