WALDORF INSPIRED

Creative Minds Preschool is designed based on the Waldorf philosophy which creates an environment that encourages imagination, creativity, and overall well being. While our Waldorf inspired program shares commonalities with Montessori programs such as appreciation for nature, creating morally responsible citizens and child directed education, we differ in many ways as well. Montessori programs place a strong emphasis on structured work determined on preset objectives created by the teacher. Our program places significant emphasis on open play, where the children are able to use their imagination to play and learn in a way that the young developing brain needs. We also provide many outlets for children to channel their inner artist in multiple forms such as music and movement, storytelling, acting, and painting. Yoga is practiced everyday for ages 3 and up and joy and happiness is at the forefront of our program beginning with the staff and trickling down to the smallest of children.
